Sometimes Stars Explode Too
NORMAL!
Normal normal normal normal normal. Not balanced. Not carriers. Normal. Both (aw what the hell, let's celebrate a little shall we?)... both BABIES are normal.
Details on the longest wait in the history of time (but other than that, Elder Pliny, how was the 1st century) to follow. Right this second I am going out to dinner; as I picked up the phone and told my friend, "Actually, it turns out I will be crawling out from under my bed today after all."
Did I mentioned the 13s are NORMAL!
Fuck yah!
Now go enjoy your pregnancy!

I'm just so excited for you! I'm so glad you're finally getting some good news. Seems you're on your way to more sets of ladybug onesies - it gives me so much joy for you!

I am not a very emotional person, but I almost just cried for you! NON-CARRIERS??!! No wonder they asked for verification of Steve's breakpoints--because there are none! Super congratulations to you--I am happier than I ever thought I could be for a stranger :)

Oh, God bless you and those babies!! Go tell Patrick he's going to (finally!) be a big brother!
Are you going to tell us the sex of these two normal babies, or are you going to really make us crazy (and believe me, this wait was long enough)!
I'm toasting you as I type!! You actually may have convinced me to try for IVF #9!!
Hugs!! Feel good!

Longtime reading delurking (and refreshing SO many times today!) to say CONGRATUALTIONS!!!!!
My eyes are welling up with tears and I'm smiling as broadly as is physically possible. I am so over-the-moon happy for you Julia. Wishing you all the best and much health and happiness!
Posted by:Andrea | July 11, 2007 at 06:32 PM
I'm tempted to ask you to just put yourself on self-imposed bed rest for the rest of the pregnancy. Please, it's not that long of a period of time. Now we know they are genetically normal, I would love for you to err on the side of caution and just lay still until the contractions start. I really can't take any more drama!!!
So happy for you. I know the world is a happier place for you today.

This is bringing tears to my eyes, as I remember being told, after a tumultuous 12 weeks, that I could expect a "normal twin pregnancy". I have never posted before and am SO happy for you. What you are feeling right now is indescribable, I know, and you will never forget it, even as become a grandmother to 13a and 13b's children. This moment is life itself.
Posted by:Katherine | July 11, 2007 at 06:51 PM
How fantastic (understatement of the year)!! I hope you enjoy every minute of savoring this news.
